Handmade Corten Steel

1. IRONeX Corten Steel is a class A steel, which is worked by hand and developed to offer unlimited solutions.

2. IRONeX surfaces undergo a controlled, accelerated oxidation treatment, followed by passivation. This process simulates four years of features oxidation that gives every element unique shading.

4. IRONeX is also “made” from time, as the surface appearance will evolve as the years go by The material’s physical expression creates a dialogue with different materials and contexts.
5. IRONeX is very easy to work with: it can be cut, moulded and modeled to suit the brief, thanks to our bespoke design service which, follows the project from the concept through to installation.
6. The surface can be given LIGHT (pre-oxidised and passivated) or DARK (pre-oxidised, passivated and surface-treated with beeswax) finishes.

Dark Finish: Oxidiced, natural weathering, after which the surface passivated, waxed

Light Finish: Oxidiced, passivated

As IRONeX is made from Corten steel, there may be natural shading variations in the colour and finish -this is normal for a natural material that evolves over time.

IRONeX Mode is a versatile, contemporary material: each piece, being handcrafted, had its own unique shades and can be cut, shaped and modeled to suit the brief thanks to our bespoke design service, where we follow the project from the concept through to installation.

IRONeX Mode was conceived for interior design and is used for walls, furniture, staircases, fireplaces, panelling and design pieces.

IRONEX Deco

IRONeX Deco is a noble metal surface finish, decorated to order with a high definition of detail.

IRONeX Deco is an exclusive surface finish for facades, walls, furniture, bar counters, shop fronts, panelling and design pieces. It is suitable for exterior and interior use, depending on which base metal is used.

The surface pattern is permanent, because it is created by controlled electrochemical processes: the surface remains smooth to the touch, it is not printed and does not change over time.

IRONEX Patina

On brass and copper, the craftsman can modulate the brushing, oxidation, burnishing and polishing to achieve any customised effect. The pattern and intensity of the brushed and polished surfaces can be defined according to the desired texture. IRONeX Patina is intended for interiors and design, and can be used on walls, furniture, fireplaces, panelling and design pieces.
